YL 7 DAY BIZ BOOTCAMP: DAY 4

IPAs- IPA stands for “income producing activity”. The blunt definition is that instead of scrolling social media mindlessly ;), you’re using it to your advantage to purposely share, connect, and promote your lifestyle (which just so happens to include the wonderful world of YL). Here are some simple ways to make sure you are completing IPAs on a daily basis to give your business the attention it deserves:

  • USE YOUR PRODUCTS!!!! If you aren’t using and loving the products yourself, why should you convince anyone else to do the same? Be a product of the product.

  • Share your 5 favorite products repeatedly. They say it takes around 20x of sharing THE SAME THING for other people to notice or for it to click with them that hey, maybe I DO need that lavender oil. Do not be scared of being repetitive- consistency and repetition is the best thing we can do!

  • Another way to be consistent with sharing is to choose these 3 areas and cycle through sharing about them- 1. the starter kit 2.  The fact that YL is a one stop shop 3. The value of the biz side and how it can change someone’s life (we simply cannot grow if we are not sharing about the business and duplicating others wanting to do what we are. It’s not for everyone, and that’s okay, but if people don’t even know about it, we are already putting ourselves at a dead end!).

  • Another simple cycle to follow: take a day or week at a time to go through the starter kit oils. Keep it short, sweet, and simple.

  • We cannot stress enough the importance of showing up, consistency, having a routine that works for you, and talking about the same things over and over and over and over again.

Pick a schedule template from below (either daily or weekly) and USE it tomorrow. Do you prefer to plan the week out ahead of time? Print out the weekly template and WRITE DOWN which oils/products you will be sharing. More of a fly by the seat of your pants kinda person? That’s cool too! The daily template may be more your style- glance it over and commit to sharing 5 of the suggested ideas tomorrow. DO NOT ONLY SHARE ABOUT OILS. Remember, the ideal sharing ratio is aroundddd 5 personal posts to 1 oily post. This means you are committing to showing up and sharing/adding value by talking about and sharing your life (outside of oils, since oils just so happen to be a huge part of it too).

Not trying to share your life on social media? We know it’s not for everyone (but if fear of what people think is your reason… I urge you to reconsider your WHY on this). If you still aren’t convinced, that’s okay. We won’t force you. But you’re still in luck! You can still grow a business, social media or not, because the nature of this business is around forming RELATIONSHIPS. Use the same ideas we shared, but instead be consistent with bringing up oils/YL in conversation. Find out a need and fulfill it for them.
