& I Will Give You Rest

You know that feeling when you have so many important things to do that you can't even remember what they all are or begin to fathom where to start or how to start but then you realize you're just sitting there not doing any of those things and instead are thinking about other things that aren't on your "important" list of things to do but are probably in fact much more important than any of those things on your list... like the value of being there with and for your family, moments spent with loved ones, time spent in quiet thought or prayer, cherishing your time with the people who surround your every day life because you never know what day might be their last or your last....

I love you Grandpa and you will be missed more than you know. After many years fighting a slow yet steady battle with Alzheimer's, his burden has finally been lifted and he has found rest and been welcomed into Heaven with open arms. I'll be spending this week not checking off items on my so-called "important" to-do list, but instead spending my time with what and who really matters. I hope you can find some time to do the same
